Nurture Notices
Below are the notices in Nurture Notices for today. Notices from the last month (if any) are listed below them.
Gumboot Day
This year we are introducing 'gumboot day' to our programme.
Gumboot Days will be held once a month in Te Awamutu, in one of Bronnie's paddocks. The idea of gumboot day is to give children an opportunity to explore the outdoor environment in their own way and time.
There will be mud to play in, wood to climb over, sheep to watch, bamboo to hide in and long grass to crawl through.
We will set up some porta cots up under the tree for any babies needing to sleep.
All welcome - children, parents, nannies, in-home educators, grandparents. Come one, come all.
Gumboot day will only be cancelled if it is extremely wet. Please call the office if in doubt.

Children's Vaccination Status
The Ministry of Education requires us to gather information about children's vaccination status every 6 months.
We will therefore be asking to view your child/rens 'Well Child' booklets when we visit in Feb so that we can update this information on our records. We thank you in advance for your assistance with this.

Welcome
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Carole Denning-Kemp who has just joined the Nurture Team.
Carole will be one of our Mentoring Teachers, out and about seeing some of our wonderful families.
Carole brings with her a wealth of Home Based Childcare experience and has been teaching for many many years.
We are excited to have Carole in the team as we continue to grow and provide all our families with the best service in the Waikato!
Timesheets Due
Please remember to get your time sheets into us by these dates so we can get them processed and pay you on time!

First Aid Certificates
Please remember that it is a LEGAL requirement that anyone employed to care for young children have their First Aid Certificate. Last year we had to cancel care with one of our families because the volunteer educator did not get her certificate within 4 months of starting work - ouch!
We certainly don't like doing that - but must comply with Government regulations in order to keep our Licence.
Please have a look under "First Aid Courses" for up coming courses.
Nurture will pay $40.00 per family, per calendar year towards the cost of your course. Any additional Educators over 1 per family, per year, will not receive the reimbursement. You will need to pay the full amount and Nurture will refund you the $40.00 when we receive a copy of your certificate (if done prior to your expiry date)
PLEASE - if you don't have your First Aid certificate - enrol now!
