Helen Monigatti
I have recently joined Nurture as the Lead Mentoring Teacher.
I have worked in a variety of teaching roles including Kindergarten, community Play Groups, Tertiary Education, Home Based Care and education,as well as providing private tuition for children with learning difficulties in the area of literacy and numeracy.
I have a passion for Home Based Care and Education and have spent 5 years working in this area. I believe that children benefit greatly from the close relationships they build with their home educators. Alongside my teaching degree I also have a Masters degree.
My passion and areas of expertise are in literacy, numeracy and special education. I therefore really see the benefits of children having the opportunity to develop early communication skills through the frequent one-to-one conversations they have with their Home Based Educators.
My Husband and I have 4 wonderful children (2 girls and 2 boys) aged between 15-25 years, and through being their Mum, I have gained a real respect for children's individual learning styles and the intelligence children utilise to explore and analyse their world.
At Nurture we will make you and your family feel welcome.
