These cookies are delicious and make a great snack for hungry tummies!

INGREDIENTS:

 

METHOD:

  1. 1. Pre-heat the oven to 350F/180C.
  2. 2. Soften the margarine then add the sugar in parts, beating until smooth.
  3. 3. If you are adding any essence, add it now.
  4. 4. Gradually sift in the flour and mix until it forms a dough like substance (flavouring can be added with the flour, lemon rind, cocoa etc).
  5. 5. Using your hands, form into balls the size of walnuts and flatten onto a greased tray, using a fork dipped in water.
  6. 6. At this stage I sprinkle a few chocolate chips onto the biscuits.
  7. 7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, and leave to cool for at least 20 minutes (longer if you've used chocolate).
