Review by Bronwyn Wills-Tiddy
The Pigs Knickers is one of those books adults enjoy almost as much as the children. Pig is unhappy about his personal appearance and feeling rather sorry for himself, when all of a sudden a gust of wind delivers him a pair red polka dot knickers.
These knickers bring a new lease of life to Pig and he begins to dance his way around the farm showing his friends his wonderful new outfit.
Unfortunately a hungry goat also found the knickers attractive and Pig was heartbroken. His friends rally around to reassure Pig that it wasnt the knickers that made him special, but what was within.
This book is beautifully illustrated, the language is rich and a pleasure to read. There is a gentle message of friendship throughout the book and a wonderful twist at the end.
10 out of 10 for this one!
