Q. What is Home Based Childcare?
A. Homebased Childcare enables pre-school children to be cared for in the homes of carefully selected Educators who educate and care for your children. Homebased childcare is an alternative to centre based care, offering small group sizes with a maximum of 4 children under the age of 6 and never more than 2 children under the age of 2.
Small group sizes enable children to build responsive and reciprocal relationships, which is particularly beneficial for children under 2.
Q. How do I know which is the right childcare option for my child?
A. We understand the importance for you to choose the right service for your child. Feel free to ring our office to discuss your aspirations for your child's care and educational needs. 0800 936-878
Q. Will my child receive an educational programme?
A. Our Visiting Teachers are fully qualified, experienced Early Childhood Teachers who understand the fundamental importance of an individual programme for each child. They will support your Educator in designing this educational programme using the Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Wháriki. Each child receives their own Profile Book and daily Care Diary which will be a wonderful memory of their time in care.
Q. How do I know my child will be well cared for?
A. All Nannies and In-Home Educators are interviewed and Police checked. Mentoring Teachers (all registered Early Childhood Teachers) will visit your child each month, spending time with them and their Educator. All homes must meet regulated safety standards. Nannies/Educators must have a First Aid Certificate. We have a training program to help equip and up skill our educators.
