VOLUNTEER CARE
If you are fortunate enough to have a family member, relative, or friend who is kindly going to come and help you with your babies – you will be eligible for our Volunteer Care Resource Subsidy which is $2.50 per hour per child for twins under 2 for a maximum of 6 hours per day.
NB. Volunteer Care can be used alongside our other types of care, e.g. employ a Nanny for 2 days per week and have a volunteer person 3 days per week. Contact Nurture for a free no obligation consultation and written report tailored to meet your individual needs.
Your Volunteer Educator will need:
To be 17 years of age or older,
Be available to help you on a regular basis from as little as 10 hours per week (this may be dependent on your location).
To undergo a Police Check,
Be available for a monthly visit from a NURTURE Mentoring Teacher,
To either hold a current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to obtain one (Nurture will pay half of this cost).
NURTURE would need to:
Conduct a Premises check of your home. This check is based on safety criteria established by the Ministry of Education.
In return NURTURE will provide the following:

The added bonus of monthly visits by your Early Childhood trained Mentoring Teacher, to give advice and support on furthering your child's learning and development.
Our Mentoring Teacher Team sets up and facilitates monthly gatherings which allow your children to mix with larger groups of children.

The Resource Subsidy is calculated from fortnightly time-sheets which are sent in to Nurture. Vouchers are sent to families each month. Our current vouchers consist of Warehouse, Baby Factory and Farmers, however, this will be expanded in the near future. Vouchers can be redeemed monthly or saved up for Christmas.
