Yes – you are eligible for a Nurture Resource Subsidy! This is NOT income tested!
Employing a Nanny through Nurture is more affordable than you may think. At Nurture we think twins are so special we increased our standard non-income tested subsidy rate just for twins. This is $2.50 per hour per child for up to a maximum of 6 hours per day.

Provide a free no obligation consultation and written report tailored to meet your individual needs.
Advertise the position if required.
Interview all applicants, commence Police Check process, and obtain verbal references for all applicants.
Conduct a Premises check of your home. This check is based on safety criteria established by the Ministry of Education.
Support you, your Nanny and your children by having an ECE trained Mentoring Teacher visit each month to help further the children's learning and development.
COST:
Both examples below are based on employing a nanny for 10 hours per week and give 3 different hourly pay rate options (NB. hourly rate is negotiated between yourself and your nanny). Nannies can be employed for more than 10 hours per week, however, 10 hours is Nurture's minimum requirement. These examples apply to twins under the age of 2.
Example 2 includes the Work and Income Childcare Subsidy should you be eligible - (refer Work and Income Childcare Subsidy Information as stated below).

Next Step:
(1) Contact Work and Income on 0800 559 009 to confirm your eligibility, and to advise them of your intention to apply for this subsidy. Alternatively visit the Work and Income website, www.workandincome.govt.nz.
(2) Work and Income will then give you 20 working days to submit your application form.
(3) Nurture holds a supply of application forms, and will need to complete a section prior to sending on to you for final completion and submission to Work and Income.
